Highland Worship In-Person

Updated on May 3, 2024

May 5, Sixth Sunday of Easter

We continue through this joyful season of Easter as we gather this Sunday. Whether in person or online, we hope you will join us as we explore the wonder of God’s welcoming love.

There are many, many ways to take part in Highland’s ministry these days–opportunities for worship and learning, sharing and caring and serving. Our current Highlights newsletter offers lots of information about ways to take part. We hope you’ll find ways to be part of this life together that we share.

LGBTQ Book Group Gathering – All are welcome this Sunday, May 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the Salem Room as we discuss our current LGBTQ Book. The book is Pageboy: A Memoir by Academy Award-nominated actor, as well as producer, and director Elliot Page. We will discuss the book in its entirety. Contact Debbie Layman if you would like to participate or if you have questions.

Desserts for Teacher Appreciation – We still need bakers to help us share our love and support with teachers and staff from Ashley and Moore Elementary Schools during Teacher Appreciation Week. Our goal is to provide 160 teachers with yummy desserts! Please share ‘sturdy’ dessert items that will not melt or require refrigeration. For more information and to sign up, please CLICK HERE!

The Period Project – Between now and May 5, we are collecting items to make 175 Menstrual Hygiene Kits for Church World Service. Click here to read more about what we need and to sign up! One Highland member forwarded this link to her daughter who lives out of state so her daughter could participate too (and have the items sent to Highland). Feel free to share with others! Thank you for your generosity!
