Highland’s 3rd-4th Graders to Receive Bibles
As Presbyterians, we believe that the Bible is one of the most important ways in which God communicates with us today. We can listen for God’s word in the familiar stories that we all know and we can also learn more about God in the stories that may be new to us. On Sunday, May 17 during the worship service, our 3rd and 4th graders will receive personalized Bibles that they can read and study for many years to come.

4th Friday Fun Night, May 15, 5:30-7:30 p.m. – (Notice date change because of the Memorial Day holiday) Mark you calendar today for the the last 4th Friday Family Fun Night for the season at Highland when parents can drop children off and enjoy the evening with Highland friends or running errands. In Highland style we will have tasty food, fun games and activities, surprises around each corner, and friends are always welcome! Reach out to Heather Ferguson for more information. Children Learning to Worship
It’s been said that one learns to play the flute by playing the flute. The same is true for learning to worship. As a way of learning to worship, Highland’s kindergarteners and first graders are invited to join in the Children and Worship program each Sunday morning following the Time for Young Disciples. This program is located on the third floor in room 307 (across the hall from the Godly Play room). During our time together we follow the order of worship in four movements: Gathering in God’s Name, Hearing & Seeing God’s Word, Responding to God with Thanks, and Going Out into God’s World. By incorporating a Montessori style of learning, our children are learning the ways in which we spend sacred time together taking to God, listening to God and growing together in love and faith.
