Help Pick the Date!
Highland’s Global Service Committee met with Highland’s Youth to discuss book genres for this summer’s intergenerational book group, and we heard them loud and clear: Fantasy is a favorite! We’re so excited to bring our church together to read The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, a fantastical tale that explores the intersection of nature and technology, bullying, family and friendship, the need for community, and the power of compassion. The Big Chill – Scoop Squad Needed! July 18, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Youth, your moment has come! Next Saturday our agency partners, the Shalom Project’s, Big Chill is back—and we need YOU to help serve up our homemade ice cream flavors: Oreo Cookie, Root Beer Float, and PB&J!
It’s our 4th year participating and our year to defend our 2025 win!

Scoop with pride, serve it up with style, and help spread the word that youth ice cream is where it’s at.
Shifts start at 12:30 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. plenty of time to scoop, sample other entries, and enjoy the fun!
