Supporting At-Risk Youth in Our Community and Beyond, June 8, 2025

On Sunday, June 8, we will joyfully celebrate Pentecost—the day we remember God’s powerful gift of the Holy Spirit to the early church. Our 10:00 a.m. worship service will be rich with vibrant music and visual elements that help us relive the wonder and awe of that first Pentecost morning.
Pentecost is also a time when we receive the Pentecost Offering, one of the four special offerings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This offering supports PC(USA) ministries with children, youth, and young adults—helping to nurture their faith and equip them to share their gifts with the church and the world, and it supports at-risk youth. This year, we’re especially excited to hear from Maggie Collins, who will share reflections on her experience serving as a Young Adult Volunteer at the Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations in New York City. (The YAV Program is supported by this offering.)
In addition, Highland will share 40 percent of your donations with Guilford College in support the Ornestein Ramallah Endowment which provides long-term financial assistance for students from Ramallah, Palestine. Thank you for your generous support of this offering which works to build a strong foundation of faith for the next generation. Thank you for your generous support to the Pentecost Offering!
