Circles are a place to study, have fellowship together establishing relationships with other women, and to participate with the needs of the community of Highland and beyond.
There are two active circles: the Afternoon Circle (1st Mondays) and the Morning Circle (1st Tuesdays)
- The Afternoon Circle meets from 2–3:00 p.m. on the first Monday of the month in the Ardmore Room of the Activity Building. New and continuing participants are encouraged to join us for fellowship and Bible study. For more information please contact Ellen Doyle or Carolyn Birk.
- The Morning Circle meets at 10:30 on the first Tuesday of the month in the Salem Room of the Activity Building. For more information please contact Heather Ferguson, 336-724-6303.
The Afternoon Circle will resume monthly gatherings on Monday, September 8, 2:00 p.m., Ardmore Room of the Activity Building. We will begin a new Bible study, Finding Resilience, Joy, And Our Identity in Jesus Christ. Meetings are usually held on the first Monday of the month. We especially welcome new participants for an hour of study and fellowship. Our lesson is lead by Sandy Simmons, a retired missionary in Brazil. She shares a lifetime of in depth knowledge of the Bible in a lively and entertaining manner.
The study guides will be available in late August and can be picked up in the Conference Room. In addition, they will be available at the first meeting. Participants in the nine month study are asked for a pledge of $40 to cover the cost of the book and donations to Salem Presbytery. Checks can be turned in at the meeting. For more information, please contact Ellen Doyle, 336-760-2259.
Many other opportunities for spiritual enrichment and fellowship come along on nearly a weekly basis. Be sure to read about upcoming opportunities in Christian education as well as other activities listed on the News and Events page.
